A voluntary federation of non-profit agencies. Cornhusker United Way was established in 1982, as a method for combined efforts to address the real human needs of area residents. The Cornhusker United Way is a voluntary federation of nonprofit agencies providing services throughout a nine-county area of Southeastern Nebraska. Each year agencies submit budgets to the United Way. After which each agency's allocation from your contribution is determined. As a result your contribution goes toward meeting a wide array of human service needs in our community. The United Way is an investment in our communities. Because volunteer help is utilized and administrative costs are minimal, approximately 98 cents of every dollar you give is put to use in services in your area.
Note: Some ratios are only available for organizations completing the detailed IRS Form 990.
